Any Student who was planning on attending the BYU Foundations Program this Saturday, that program
has been cancelled.
ALL LIBRARY BOOKS ARE DUE THIS FRIDAY THE 18TH. FINES SHOULD BE PAID TO THE LIBRARY BY MONDAY THE 21ST. AFTER THAT FINES ROUND UP TO THE NEXT DOLLAR AND MUST BE PAID IN THE FINANCE OFFICE!
Beginning Wednesday, the 9th graders will be able to purchase a bus ticket for the Lagoon
activity. The cost of the bus ticket is $10.00 and you buy them in the front office. The permission slip,
signed by a parent, must be returned to buy a ticket. Your English teacher will be giving you the handout.
It would be a good idea to share it with your parents! Last day to buy a ticket is Wednesday, May 23 before
school.

9th Graders The 9th Grade night dance,
“A Night Under the Stars” will be held on Friday, May 18th.
Tickets
will be $5 if you purchase them during lunch next week or $8 at the door. The dance will run from 7:00-
9:00 p.m. At the dance, there will be food, dancing and a lot of fun. You may have your picture taken with
your friends for $5 a person. Tickets will be on sale during lunch this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. It
is best dress and only 9th graders from Timberline
will be allowed to purchase a ticket and attend.
The Institute of Reading Development offers summer classes at the Salt Lake Community College Miller Campus (9750 S 300 W) for all grade levels for phonics, comprehension, vocabulary, study skills, speed reading, and love of reading. Flyers are available in the counseling office. For more information or to register

7th GRADE GIRLS IN 8th GRADE NEXT YEAR!
Westminster College is holding a Summer Girls Camp for girls entering the 8th grade this fall who enjoy
math and science. Spend three fun-filled days, from June 25-27, on the beautiful Westminster College
campus and discover just how fun and cool math and science can be for you! Check it out on the

You just heard the Utah Scholars Presentation in your Science class. If you would like to

Let's show the State Legislature that
Timberline students are serious about preparing for and attending college.
We will be starting a yearbook waiting list for those of you who have not already purchased a
yearbook. We will begin the list Monday May 14th at 7:45 am at the financial window. You must come in
person. We will not be able to take names over the phone. We will not take any money until the yearbooks
are distributed. The price will be $30.00. If you are not sure if you purchased a yearbook check with Mrs.
Ormond in the office and she can tell you.
Congratulations to all the Timberline Competitors at the State History Fair competition. They all were
superb representatives of our school. Timberline came away with more winners than ever before.

TMS Students at the State History Fair
Alpine District Extended Year
Courses are offered during the summer for high school students to either retake missing credit or accelerate learning. Any student who is completing 9th through 12th grade in the 2011-2012 school year is eligible.
